Opening Old Freehand 8 Files

Hi All:

I have several old files created in FH 8 on a mac running OS9 (maybe even some OS8).

I'm hoping to open on a mac running an early version of OSX (I'll follow up with exactly which version if necessary, but it's before 10.5.)

My CD of FH 8 will not install on the mac running OSX, even in classic mode.

Does anyone know which version of FH migt run on the OSX and open FH8 files?
Does FH9 run on the early OSX?
