FH10 to EPS or PDF

When converting to EPS from FH10 doc is it normal to start witha 2 MB file in FH and then after exporting to an EPS in jumps to 52 MB file. If not how do I reduce the the file size when exporting.

With PDF export it never show translucent blocks is this normal if not how do you include the translucent blocks with the export.
