FreeHand MX won't launch

Well, I was finally fool enough to waste good money and upgrade FreeHand 10 to the "latest" version from Adobe. Installation seems fo go fine but the app won't launch. I very briefly see the Freehand menu then it just disapears.

I'm running OSX 10.4.8 on a G4 Mac (dual 867mhz) with 1.75 GB Ram.

Could this be a font issue? Freehand 10 works just fine.

Any ideas?

So far the Adobe site has been of no help....
