importing Hebrew text/font

I have been sent a PDF file with text that has been translated into a Hebrew font. I have downloaded the font but when I copy/paste into the freehand file, it says the font is not available (also does not show in my font list)
I have turned on "Hebrew" in my Regional language window within the windows XP control panel.
I just need to be able to convert to paths for a design element. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
