I've decided there really isn't one! I tried CanvasX (Mac)
and it crashed 3
times in 5 minutes. I could not get the keyboard shortcuts for zooming to
work and a few other things were broken. I wrote to their support and got no
response. Then I find out that it's an orphaned program.
Then I tried Inkscape (Mac). It can't import EPS formatted files, and the
X11 operating system is too funky for my taste.
Illustrator lacks all of the features that I find so useful in FH. I had
hoped that Adobe would have incorporated some of FH's features in CS3, but
that is not the case.
That leaves me using my old friend FH until Adobe adds my favorite FH
features to AI. I sure hope FH runs in Mac OSX 10.5. If it doesn't, then
I'll be sticking with OSX 10.4.9 for a while, or dedicating one computer to
run FH.
