Does anyone have experience using items designed in FreeHand
as genuine 3D objects, ex: DXF, 3DS, COB?
I have taken a logo in Freehand then traced it and grouped it, so that I am left with a composite path. I thought I could just export this composite path out of Freehand and import it directly into Truespace 6.6, but no luck so far. I've tried to export out of FreeHand using all options including .ai and .eps but somehow the object always gets screwed up in Truespace. It shouldn't be this hard?
What I really need is a low cost or free tool that can take a composite path freehand export and turn it into a real 3D object or maybe some tips on the best way to move shapes from Freehand to Truespace if there is a way to do it directly.
Any ideas?
