Japense in Freehand

Hello,

Mac - Freehand MX 11.0.2

I can successfully copy and paste Japanese characters from word or other programs into freehand and they are correctly displayed in japanese fonts or Apple Unicode. I have the English language version and apparantly need the Japanese language version to properly work with Japanese characters.

At the moment there are problems when setting a the characters in a text block, the individual characters can't be selected as with other latin based languages. For example I set my curser and want to create a manual linebreak, instead of making the linebreak where my curser ist, the linebreak is create a number of characters before where the curser is. Also, behind each block of characters there is a massive amount of white space which cant be deleted. (For examples, the characters run 50 mm wide but the actual text field is 100 mm wide).

I have checked all the text settings however have not found a way or setting that allows the Japanese characters to react or be set like a latin based text.

Any ideas? Thank you.
