Best way to get usable EPS out of Freehand?

I don't get to do much Print work these days, but have to get a logo out to
some people as an EPS.

What's the best way to get an editable EPS out of Freehand to folks? Is it
best to just save an EPS, then a FH version, then export as an AI version?
