The right way to do it, IMO

I understand Adobe purchase Macromedia. When I hear that, I knew FreeHand was doomed. There hasn't been an update to MX in so long and there are so many bugs popping up since Tiger was released.

As a company, the right way to do in, IMO, is to continue with both FreeHand and Illustrator and making them closer together until you merge the 2. There are too many differences between Illustrator and FreeHand to make it comfortable for me to switch. I don't have time to relearn the feel of Illustrator to draw with smoothness. It just feels wrong. But if they were to continue FreeHand and change the feel over lets say 2 - 3 upgrades, then merge, there would be a far greater response. But of course, does the cost of doing this justify the customer base, only Adobe knows this.

I dislike Illustrator so much that I am considering purchasing a PC and running CorelDrawX3, and I'm a Mac guy!

Just venting.......
