FreeHand and Illustrator aren't the same thing

Freehand: The speedy, multipage, get-things-done when time is critical software. Intuitive tool for who those who depend on it to get work done quickly on a daily basis. Practical and intuitive.

Illustrator: The fine art, take your time, gradient meshes, and all the filters you could ever want software. For that masterpiece you have all the time in the world to work on. Beautiful.

Adobe should be making a fortune off of FreeHand as something different than Illustrator. Adobe hasn't put any of FreeHands gems into Illustrator. So, what's the plan Adobe? When will we see Illustrator benefit from Adobe's acquisition of FreeHand? Never? The door is wide open for the competition to fill the FreeHand void. I can't wait!
