I've created some PDFs in Freehand MX but as far as I can see there are no settings to make the PDFs accessible.
I wondered if anyone else had been able to do this?
I recently purchased a new Mac. While trying to install FreeHand MX 11.0.2 Build 92 (not knowing if it will even run on Intel-based models) from my original CD, my legitimate serial number is not recognized. I have no real idea why but suspect some incompatibility with the installer and Mac OSX 10.5. If any FreeHand fan has run into this bog, I’d appreciate a workaround.
Here’s what happens:
In the window where I type the serial number, the "OK" button remains grayed out and I cannot proceed. Normally, it becomes clickable when a legit serial number is entered. I have tried it several ways... with the dashes, without the dashes, caps lock is off and I'm typing the numbers from the top of the keyboard (not the number keypad). I also tried my previous serial number for a copy of FreeHand10 I purchased.
Does anyone know if Apple’s “Migration Assistant” can be used to transfer the entire application (and its library components) from my old Mac to the new one? I don’t want to run a full migration... just the specific FH application.
I emailed Adobe tech support with my original order number and purchase documentation and received a somewhat annoying form reply, stating that FreeHand 9 is no longer supported (and I repeat, this is FreeHand MX 11.0.2 -- not FH9). I was told that my only support options are to post here. I was also given a link to “upgrade” to CS (like I’ll ever trust Adobe with another penny of my hard earned money). I don’t want to use AI. Compared to FH, I find it lumpy and slow and extremely tedious.
Thanks for any tips and advice.
Freehand users,
I'm still trying to get this, installing Freehand trial on PC shows the type on path smooth and crisp, on my MAC it's still jagged!!
On the Mac the type on path in freehand are very jagged, pixelize, which is very unusefull for me using hundreds of them in my work (maps).
Today i discovered, trying to get a new look with a different font, Open Type fonts behave much better on the Type on path (MAC) it gives me smooth and crisp fonts after zooming just 300 to 400% instead of a postcript font on which a zoom of 3200% only gives me smooth fonts!!!
Can anyone tell me why?

I recently migrated from an old desktop Mac G4 with OS 10.4 to a new Macbook Pro with OS 10.6.7. With the new machine Freehand MX simply will not open. When I try to open it, its icon appears for a few seconds in the dock, but then disappears. Other apps I migrated run using Rosetta, but maybe FH won't do that.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks.

Hi guys
I am using Macromedia Freehand MXa (2004) to do a bit of logo design. I usually do graphics in Fireworks so my knowledge of Freehand is pritty limited.
I have some .EPS graphics I want to use - tried importing and opening the files in Freehand but for some reason all that appears is a rectangular box the size of the image with diagonal lines from each corner making a cross (see attached image below)
Top image is a .eps file and the one below is the same logo as a .jpg file.
I want to use an EPS vector file in the logo not a .jpg bitmap file as the end product logo will be an EPS so that it is scaleable.
How do I get the EPS file to display properly?
Hi ! I am desperate! Need urgently help! I usually work with Freehand MX (Mac user) and until now I had no problem when importing jpeg file to work with them. But recently, when I try to do so, a message pop up and says that "you cannot import this file because the PPD file does not contain the necesary information". At the same time, the program does not allow me to import my FH files into jpeg format. I am completely lost. Any help? Please!
I'm using Freehand 11.02 under Windows7 x64 - although I've frequently experienced this issue under WIndows XP & Vista as well.
When selecting a symbolic character such as a Checkmark from the WIngdings font set and then attempting tp past it into FH, a lengthy delay occurs (~30-60 seconds) before a "Missing Fonts" dialog appears such as this:
By simple selecting "OK", the desired character & font is pasted as expected - but what causes the delay? Any insight would be most welcome.

Have a computer with CS3 on it, which is used to open FH10 files.
However last week I installed CS6 on it and now I am unable to open FH10 files in CS3.
Uninstalled CS6, didnt work. Reinstalled CS3, didnt work.
So CS6 has aperently corrupted CS3. Does anyone have a solution?
Im thinking I might try a registry transplant from a computer with a fresh install of CS3.
I have used a serial number that begins with FHD110 + 3 groups of 5 digits to register my copy of FH11.02 before, but "Chat" told me that I need 24 digits.... I am the registered owner of this software, sort of at a loss as how to proceed, sure do need some help.

Please update Freehand MX 11.0.2 on all platforms. I'm running OS X 10.6.8. Have custom installed Rosetta but the application will no longer launch but was working fine in early 2014. February 2014 came in and Freehand stop working. I reinstall MX 10 and it launches but will not print.
And YES I will pay for Freehand update.
Thanks
I have fh8 files that have been changed to exec files. I am trying to open these into illustrator. I tried CS6 cc2014 and CC2015. I also changed the end of the file name to .fh8 but still no luck can anyone help please?
I've been looking everywhere on the web including Adobe.com, but it seems I can't find the file that once came with this link http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/504/cpsid_50468.html
Instead it takes me directly to this forum. I'm trying to run Freehand MX in 10.6 Snow Leopard but of course I need the registration file.
I had to reformat my harddrive and did not deactivate Freehand MX prior to reformat. When trying to re-load software I get a red x next to the serial number that came with the software. I cannot find anybody to talk to at adobe about this. WHat can I do?
